Tomorrow I (Trevor) will be leading a team of newly trained missionary “dentists” to Village CO where we will host a dental clinic for the community on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. We will hold it in the church building of our church plant in that village.
Please pray that:
- We have good gospel discussions with those who come
- We are able to build many new relationships in the community
- Our “dentists” do well and are able to help many people
- The Lord allows us to travel to and from safely, we are able to minister without hindrance, and He protects us from the schemes of the evil one
Below are some pics of some of our time sharing the gospel in Village CO on the Day of the Virgin Guadalupe (Día de la Virgen de Guadalupe). It is day of festivals celebrated by Catholics throughout Mexico. The day is to celebrate the belief that a man encountered the Virgin Mary, Mexico’s patron saint, in Mexico City on December 9 and 12, 1531. It is a day full of idolatry and is very sad to observe. Our village had a small parade and a celebration at the Catholic church building. When I asked what happens in the celebration in the church building I was told that they bring out a statue of the Virgin Guadalupe and they sing to it, dance before it and pray to it. Our team stood in the village plaza adjacent to the Catholic church sharing the gospel and passing out cookies with a Christmas card/gospel presentation attached.
Keep up the good work, Trevor and family! Praying for you all!
