Searching for cavities, cleaning out decay, and putting fillings in – all things I never thought I would be doing as part of gospel ministry. But here I am preparing to take part in a dental clinic in village ML in Northern Mexico tomorrow through Sunday. Perhaps one of the coolest parts of this trip is that it was almost exactly one year ago this week that Betsy and I led a team from our home church, Christ Fellowship KC, down to get a closer look at To Every Tribe and what team did Betsy, the kids and I join to do ministry in Mexico? That’s right – Village ML! It will be a lot of fun to go back and visit some of the people we met last time.
Below are some prayer requests:
1. Good gospel opportunities with “patients”.
2. Skill in our dental work – a big thanks to my sister-in-law for translating some basic dental questions for me! Hopefully that will help avoid painful confusion :).
3. Peaceable travel and time of ministry so we can minister the gospel freely.
4. Betsy and the kids (and her parents who are in town until thurs) to have a enjoyable and fun time together.
To God be the glory!!!
Have a great trip!
In some ways, it’s hard to believe a year has passed since that trip. But when I look at what all God has done since then, it’s hard to believe it’s only been one year! I pray your return to village ML will renew acquaintances from last year and that the whole team’s dental work will provide some merciful relief and comfort that opens hearts to the greatest mercy.
