This burial form captures the martyr’s heart that those who are a part of To Every Tribe must embrace. It is a sobering document to read/sign but behind my signature are many sobering conversations between me and Betsy about the reality of laying our lives down for the name of Jesus Christ.

Our family with the other Center for Pioneer Church Planting families listening to David Sitton explain the significance of the moment and the call to lay down our lives for the name of Jesus.

Me signing the burial form. I intentionally brought Ethan and Titus up there because they are my little men and I thought it was important to see that Jesus means everything to daddy (and mommy of course!)

Missionaries and our families after signing the burial form. Doing ministry in Northern MX places a certain reality in signing this form for all of us. For the missionaries and their families above this is not just a tradition – it is a REAL proclamation of the supremacy of Christ in our lives.
Your pictures and write-up brought me to tears, brother.
“For consider Him who has endured such hostility by sinners against Himself, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. You have not yet resisted to the point of shedding blood in your striving against sin.” Heb 12
I awoke tonight discouraged about the failures I experience in my battles against sin. Your email reminded me of the war against sin and just how important and significant it is to follow Christ to the point of death. If I will not stand against evil in my habits of speech and appetite, how will I stand when a knife is two inches from my face?
We love you.
Jim
Wow, that is humbling and convicting Jim. Well put. I have been praying for CKFC much lately. Betsy and I were just talking last night about how thankful we are for you all. Love you brother!
Thank you for sharing this, Trevor. You and Betsy are brave servants of our Lord. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
Thanks Beth! Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!
Thank you for sharing brother. What a dramatic picture of the life we are called to. It’s not a game, it’s playing for keeps and costs everything.
Absolutely correct Greg! It was always encouraging and inspiring to me to watch men like you dying to self everyday for the Kingdom.
