Fellowshipping around the table with like-minded pastors, encouraging one another, praying with/for one another, sharing burdens and joys, meeting missionaries God is using in great ways for His Kingdom around the world, hearing Christ-exalting sermons…That is but a small taste of what myself and fellow Christ Fellowship of KC pastor, Steve Burchett, experienced last week at the annual National FIRE Conference. It was so great to catch up with brothers I have met previously and forge new, long-lasting, Kingdom-focused relationships with brothers I had the pleasure of meeting this year.
Above are some pics of me while I had the opportunity to share about our ministry to the unreached tribes in Oaxaca, Mexico. Afterward, I was able to connect with several people who were very excited about what the Lord has in store for these tribes. It was a real honor to share the burden and direction the Lord has placed on my and Betsy’s hearts with this great group of brothers and sisters in Christ.
Below is a depressing photo of me while I was waiting to speak (compliments of my fellow elder Steve Burchett – always the encourager!).
Aside from that sad reality it was a fantastic trip!!! Please pray for us as we enter into full gear transition mode – selling/giving away virtually all of our belongings, a trip to IL to visit family and friends, and packing the few things we will take with to TX. A lot to do and we will be spending our remaining weeks in KC packing our calendar with times of fellowship with our close friends in Christ here before we leave.
